Parking at Wyaralong

Parking is a challenge at Wyaralong.
For those with mobility issues, it is difficult (but not insurmountable) – the venue does not lend itself to customary access processes and must be pre arranged.

Opening Time for offsite parking: 7:30am – 2:45pm

Shuttles FROM Racetrack: 7.45am – 12:30pm

Shuttles TO Racetrack: 9:00am – 2:30pm

Please do not arrive prior to 7:30am – there is early training on at the Racetrack and we hope to avoid causing a traffic jam.

Please follow all Traffic Controller directions and park where instructed.
Please have paid passes printed and accessible to speed up arrival process.

Please ensure you factor in transit time from the Racetrack to Wyaralong (approx. 20 minutes travel time) when planning your arrival, and also be aware that you may need to wait for a shuttle within the regatta venue to return to the parking off-site.

You will be dropped off at the Meebun Ring Road when you arrive at the regatta venue and you will be picked up there to return to your vehicle.

The spectator pass does not permit access until 7am

Head of the River for athletes

It is highly recommended that athletes are bussed in

Athletes that choose to come in with parent/carer/spectators will not be permitted entry until 7am and this is considered too late to assist with rigging and/or get to the start line

Please note:

Rowing Queensland is the lease holder of the competitor headland and the buoyed on-water rowing course. Safety considerations are cited to limit parking for the BSRA. There is seemingly no understanding from the water body, the local govt and the federal govt of the rowing community venue requirements, so the parking problems for our championship event are unlikely to be resolved for the next 7- 8 years.
