Cliff Slawson Memorial

By Rachael Kininmonth - 30/05/2016

Toowong Rowing Club 3pm 3rd June 2016. Come and share your stories and pay your respects to a man and his family that contributed so much to our community.

In a nutshell, Cliff had finished treatment for his primary cancer late last year only to discover around Christmas time that it had spread to his brain. Surgery and further Chemo had looked promising with no sign of recurrence as late as April this year. A scan at the beginning of May revealed an aggressive regrowth of the tumour and further tumours around the brain. Further treatment wasn’t possible and the aggressive nature of the tumours meant his decline was swift.

There will not be a funeral, however, there will be a celebration of his life at Toowong Rowing Club this Friday afternoon. Please see the attached invitation. Invitation is extended to all that knew him, so please feel free to extend this invitation to the BSRA delegates.
